Between Mind, Body, Heart & Soul
This work is part of a photographic series that explores intimacy, vulnerability, and presence through self-portraiture. Using both interior and exterior spaces, as well as daytime and nighttime settings, I create images that reflect personal experiences connected to memory, solitude, love, sadness, freedom, and absence.

DUALITIES
This photographic series explores duality through everyday scenes and symbolic contrasts. It reflects on how intimacy and distance, nature and urban space, and connection and separation coexist within daily life, revealing the invisible tensions that shape how we see the world.

Between Places is a photographic series exploring displacement and the experience of living between Brazil and the United States. Moving through streets, airports, reflections, and passing figures, the work reflects on belonging, distance, and identity in motion.
The images capture moments of transition, where place becomes less a fixed location and more a condition of being.
Between Places
Ser Livre
The film features Afro-Brazilian girls, boys, and women across generations interpreting the poem Ser Livre by Alessandra Martins in a collective spoken-word performance that addresses stereotypes and stigmas imposed on the Black body.
Written and directed by Alessandra Martins. Cinematography and editing by Guga Caldwell.
